We as Believers tend to look for the "warm and fuzzies" in the Bible to comfort us, which is fine. God's word is meant to be comforting. However, God's word is never meant to comfort us in our sin.

Hebrews 4:12 says, "the word cuts like a twoedged sword." The Holy word is the discerner of our thoughts and intents of our heart. Anytime you read the word, you should never be thinking about how the word pertains to others. God’s word is meant to show you, YOU!
