“And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.” ‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭26:50‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Judas spent 3 years with Jesus watching him do ministry. Judas saw Jesus perform miracles. Judas saw Jesus love for the disciples. Judas saw Jesus’s love for the people. Judas saw his humble human side yet realized he had power. Yet, bought with 30 pieces of silver, Judas couldn’t help himself. He yielded to the influence of the devil and betrayed Jesus. Still at the end Jesus called him friend. So many commentaries speak on this scripture from he was being more sarcastic and compelling him as a reminder that he was suppose to be Jesus friend. You know how sometimes when someone we consider a friend does something that a friend is not suppose to do, we remind them of all the things we have been through together or even remind them of all we have done for them. But I am not sure I agree with the commentary. I believe Jesus knowing all things including knowing His purpose decided what Judas did wasn’t personal, he realized it was purpose. Jesus realized Judas was apart of the plan and therefore what was there to be mad about? So many times when we want to be so mad with those who have done us wrong and I am not saying we shouldn’t. Most of the time we have every right to be, but remember as a Believer God is sovereign and if he allows it, at some point it is going to work for your good. Even if it’s to inform you or bring to light who you are truly walking next to. Remind yourself, It’s not personal. It purpose. Happy Saturday.

Just a quick writing tip for non-fiction writers: I have had people reach out and say they want to write a book. Let me give you the best advice I can give you. It’s always good to make an outline, but I make the outline from the random collective thoughts I have written down in one place. You know how you have a random profound thought about a specific topic or area? I jot it down in the notes section of my cell phone note pad under the title of the book. If you don’t have a title name yet, write the topic as the title for now and continue to jot notes down throughout the day, week or month. Most of the time you won’t write a book from beginning to end. I actually wrote my book by writing the middle first, then wrote the end second and write the beginning at the end. So stop waiting for some extra big block of time to knock out chapters because you will be waiting forever. I honestly don’t know any authors who wrote their book like that. If you have a thought you think is worth capturing, stop what you are doing and write as much as you can down. After you feel like you have been writing down a bunch of thoughts, sort them out using one sentence or phrase of words and start putting them in order. You will be surprised how much you can write in 3-5 minutes when a thought crosses your mind and what you can create from just 3-5 different thoughts. Once you have an outline you can go back and develop your writing, by expounding or going in further detail for each idea, thought and/or concept.
