The night season can sometimes feel absolutely unbearable. All you keep replaying in your head are all the possible ways of escape from the pain. If it be state of pain in the body, distress, grief or even a toxic relationship. Anyway you slice it, it’s painful.
But remember, pain is temporary. And though this dark space is uncomfortable and can be a breeding ground for anxiety, fear and frustration, It can also be used as a tool to stretch us. If you think about the last difficult situation you went through, you can probably remember how stressful it was, but if you are honest with yourself, you will also remember what you learned or gained from the trial.
I know that sounds insane, but I think about when I had my two strokes, now almost 3 years ago. I can remember just how difficult it was both physically and mentally. However, it built me spiritually. I probably would have never trusted or had the confidence in God I now have if I didn’t go through the raging storm I went through with my strokes.
During the darkest hour you might feel like you are losing, but God’s grace was enough to not only sustain me, but grow me in Him. See the reality of a Believer is we never lose. During my stroke period, I was never going to lose and God knew that. He just needed me to know it! It’s during this difficult space a supernatural strength is given to you by God. It’s during our weakness, that God’s strength is made perfect.
One familiar quote that comes to mind, “you never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have.” Nice quote, but not true. You always have a choice in the matter. You either stick in stay or you throw in the towel.
Just remember, God’s grace, mercy and favor gives you the ability to make it through ANY and EVERY situation in your life. This is ONLY if you lean on and trust Him. I promise you, God makes ALL the difference. ♥️
